Senior Data Scientist

About the Role

Join our cross-functional Growth team as a Senior Data Scientist to own the quantitative engine driving user acquisition, engagement, and seller activation. You will design experiments, build models, and deliver data-informed decisions that shape product and growth strategies.

Responsibilities

• Ship business-critical analyses on usage, retention, and activation to identify key signals for product direction.
• Conduct deep dives into data to improve foundational metrics and understand user behavior.
• Audit and enhance data infrastructure, documenting sources and building robust data pipelines.
• Own and refine core company dashboards to make insights accessible across the team.
• Establish and maintain a shared data vocabulary.
• Scale the analytics culture through education, process improvements, and documentation.
• Collaborate closely with product and operations on growth experiments, operational bottlenecks, and behavioral insights.
• Drive continuous improvements in data quality, modeling, and warehouse efficiency.
• Work with leadership on strategic questions including customer segmentation, pricing, and expansion.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or experimentation, preferably in high-growth startups.
• Strong quantitative skills including A/B testing, causal inference, regression, and forecasting.
• Experience building ML models (e.g., churn, LTV, propensity models).
• Proficiency in SQL and Python or R.
• Experience with event instrumentation and analytics tools.
• Demonstrated ability to build dashboards and track metric health.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of clearly explaining insights to diverse stakeholders.
• Entrepreneurial mindset comfortable working in ambiguity and fast iteration.
• Based in London and able to work from the office 3 days per week.

Nice-to-Haves

• Familiarity with growth analytics tools like Amplitude, Mixpanel, or DBT.
• Prior experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, or live video environments.
