Senior Developer Advocate

About the Role

Grafana Labs is seeking a passionate Developer Advocate based in Japan to engage with and grow our vibrant open-source community. If you're excited about observability, teaching, and building relationships with developers in Japan, this is your chance to make a tangible impact.

Responsibilities

• Creating technical content such as sample apps, blog posts, and presentations for developers and SREs.
• Participating in conferences, user groups, and online forums to promote Grafana and engage with the community.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Developer Advocate or in a similar community-facing technical role.
• Strong understanding of observability concepts (metrics, logs, traces).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with fluency in both Japanese and English.
• Ability to create high-quality technical content and educational materials.
• Based in Japan, with the ability to work remotely.

Nice-to-Haves

• Prior experience with Grafana or other open-source observability tools.
• An existing network within the Japanese developer community.
• Experience contributing to open-source projects.
