Senior Effects Engine Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Effects Engine Engineer to architect high-performance rendering pipelines and intuitive toolchains that empower our global community to create stunning visual stories. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our multimedia creation tools by bridging the gap between cutting-edge research and seamless user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a cross-platform multimedia effects SDK supporting iOS, Android, Web, and desktop.
• Develop tooling to support special effects content creation, testing, and asset lifecycle management.
• Design mobile-side effect asset management systems for optimal storage, loading, and update handling.
• Integrate new visual features, such as 3D, facial effects, and dynamic shaders, with our custom rendering engine.
• Prototype and productionize next-gen effects, including AI-powered, multimodal, and real-time visual experiences.

Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in C++ for engine and SDK development.
• Solid experience with Java, Objective-C/Swift, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Proficient in at least one graphics API (OpenGL, Metal, Vulkan, or DirectX) and shader languages (GLSL or HLSL).
• Experience in mobile app development, performance optimization, and large-scale codebase management.
• Excellent English communication skills and a passion for solving complex visual problems.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with on-device AI deployment (e.g., CoreML, QNN).
• Familiarity with DCC tools such as Maya or Substance.
• Proven ability to design scalable graphics architectures in collaboration with design teams.
