Senior Engineering Manager - Ecosystem Integrations and Solutions

About the Role

Lead a critical team focused on scaling Canva's platform through strategic partnerships and innovative solutions, driving enterprise adoption and developer ecosystem growth.

Responsibilities

• Own and scale the System Integrator program, managing partnerships, quality standards, and strategic direction.
• Lead the Solution Engineering team to bridge technical capabilities with enterprise partner and sales needs, supporting high-value deals.
• Guide the direction of Developer Toolkits, ensuring documentation and developer experiences evolve with AI integrations.
• Shape strategy and influence the roadmap for Ecosystem products, feeding customer and partner needs back into platform development.
• Coach and grow engineering teams, fostering leadership and empowering individuals.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading engineering teams in a partnerships or platform context, with expertise in managing external relationships.
• Strong commercial and go-to-market instincts, understanding how technical capabilities translate to business value.
• Ability to manage diverse team types simultaneously, including internal engineering, solution engineering, and external partnerships.
• Clear, direct communication skills adaptable to both technical and non-technical audiences across various contexts.

Nice-to-Haves

• Technical credibility for engaging in architecture discussions, API design, and platform strategy.
• Experience scaling teams and programs, including building teams and establishing scalable operating models.
• Experience with System Integrator or vendor management programs, enterprise solution engineering, or developer relations.
• Familiarity with platform ecosystems serving multiple audiences (enterprise customers, partners, third-party developers).
