Senior Field Engineer

About the Role

As a Senior Field Engineer, you will serve as a technical backbone for our Solutions Engineering team, creating the content, tools, and expertise needed to drive customer success and scale our observability platform. This role is perfect for a technical expert who enjoys bridging the gap between complex product capabilities and real-world customer solutions.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate the technical needs of the Solutions Engineering team to streamline the sales process.
• Design and deliver high-quality technical presentations, white papers, and product workshops.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support deep-dive technical meetings, strategic proof-of-concepts, and community engagement.
• Partner cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams to align on product messaging and customer engagement strategies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical experience in roles such as SRE, Developer, Architect, or Presales Solution Architect.
• Deep expertise in observability technologies such as Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, or similar tools.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language and a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Ability to architect modern applications on major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
• Proven experience building and delivering technical content for diverse audiences, including webinars, demos, and workshops.

Nice-to-Haves

• Prior experience in open-source software (OSS) selling environments.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.
