Senior Frontend Engineer

About the Role

Join the AWS Data Sources squad as a Senior Frontend Engineer to lead the development of open-source data source plugins for Grafana, enabling users to seamlessly query and visualize AWS data.

Responsibilities

• Lead the enhancement of the querying experience within Grafana data sources.
• Investigate and resolve complex configuration issues.
• Support the reliability and operations of data sources within Grafana Cloud.
• Collaborate effectively with engineers and teams across the Grafana division.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure system stability.

Requirements

• Professional experience as a Full-stack Engineer with expertise in React and TypeScript.
• Demonstrated experience with microservices architecture.
• Comfortable working in a remote-first company, with excellent communication skills.
• Familiarity with on-call rotations and performing operations/SRE tasks.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with Go (Golang).
• Familiarity with AWS products such as Cloudwatch, OpenSearch, Redshift, Athena, Aurora, or Amazon Prometheus.
• Knowledge of configuration technologies like Jsonnet and Terraform.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms, including Grafana or Prometheus.

As part of the Data Sources group within the Grafana department, you will contribute to connecting and querying a vast library of data sources. The AWS Data Sources squad specifically focuses on building and maintaining open-source data source plugins in partnership with AWS. Collaboration is central to our work, offering opportunities to innovate and solve complex engineering challenges across various teams within the Grafana division.
