Senior Frontend Engineer - Billing

About the Role

Join our Billing Engineering team as a Senior Frontend Engineer to build intuitive and robust user interfaces that power our financial operations and enhance the customer experience. This remote role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our core product, working with modern technologies across the UK, Ireland, Netherlands, or Portugal.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable, and performant user interfaces for our billing and subscription management platform.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend engineers to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Write clean, well-documented, and testable code, participating in code reviews to maintain high standards.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy for the frontend stack.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development, with a strong portfolio of complex web applications.
• Expert proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Extensive experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular (React preferred).
• Solid understanding of state management patterns and libraries (e.g., Redux, Zustand).
• Experience consuming RESTful APIs and working with asynchronous data flows.
• Strong understanding of web performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Proven ability to write comprehensive unit and integration tests.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to development.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with GraphQL or other API query languages.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working in a FinTech or SaaS environment, particularly with billing or payments systems.
• Knowledge of UI/UX best practices and design systems.
