Senior Full-Stack Engineer, Applied AI

About the Role

Join our Applied AI team as a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to spearhead the development of innovative AI solutions, leveraging large language models to drive transformative applications for our customers. This is an exciting opportunity to rapidly test ideas, run A/B experiments, and iterate on real production use cases of LLMs.

Responsibilities

• Ship full-stack AI projects end-to-end using Ruby on Rails for the backend and React for the frontend.
• Design and execute experiments, including A/B tests, to validate AI features, measure impact, and guide iteration.
• Build and integrate components for AI infrastructure, optimizing for performance and reliability to support production-level inferencing.
• Improve processes, tools, and systems to scale AI features into robust, production-ready solutions.
• Stay current with cutting-edge AI research, techniques, and tools.
• Collaborate closely with product leaders and designers to create a world-class user experience.
• Prioritize speed of iteration, experimentation, and learning while maintaining high standards of code quality.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a full-stack engineer on complex web applications with significant scale (e.g., 100k+ rpm, 100GB+ databases).
• Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails, MySQL / PostgreSQL, and ReactJS. Familiarity with both frontend and backend is essential.
• Demonstrated strong experimentation mindset, comfortable designing and running A/B tests, measuring results, and iterating quickly.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity, readily learning and adopting new technologies.
• Proficient in English (spoken, written, and reading) at a CEFR Level C2 / ILR Level 5.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience building backend systems and infrastructure for AI-driven products.
• Track record of working on full-stack AI projects, including deploying at least one production-ready use case of LLMs at scale.
