Senior Immigration Specialist

About the Role

Join our dynamic team as a Senior Immigration Specialist, where you will play a pivotal role in managing complex immigration cases and ensuring compliance for our global workforce. This role is crucial for enabling Deel's mission to unlock global opportunities by facilitating seamless international talent mobility.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate completion of immigration cases, adhering to SLAs and quality standards.
• Coordinate and schedule calls, consultations, and interviews related to immigration processes.
• Deliver outstanding client service through clear, professional communication and proactive case management.
• Maintain compliance with relevant immigration laws and regulations in assigned countries, including operational rules and RACI.
• Assess right-to-work requirements for Employees of Record (EORs).
• Process immigration-related administrative tasks, including preparing and submitting applications to local authorities.
• Liaise with local providers to complete immigration assessments.
• Act as a subject matter expert for country-specific visa processes and compliance requirements.
• Audit, maintain, and update internal and external mobility-related knowledge in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Provide support to EORs and clients for mobility-related questions or concerns across all communication channels.
• Manage the entire mobility lifecycle for non-nationals, including work authorization checks, visa processing, renewals, and cancellations.
• Ensure the quality of mobility operations in assigned countries.
• Work on special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience in global mobility or immigration roles.
• Proven experience with immigration vendor management.
• Must have experience handling immigration cases in the Netherlands (preferably in-house).
• Fluent in both English and Dutch.
• Strong knowledge of global relocation and immigration compliance.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams to manage mobility and immigration processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple cases concurrently.
• Detail-oriented and proactive in managing complex mobility cases.
• Experience with policy development and process optimization.
• Ability to stay up-to-date with EMEA immigration laws and adapt to regulatory changes.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience in managing immigration cases for the UK, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Nordic countries.
