Senior iOS Software Engineer

About the Role

Join the iOS Platform team at Reddit and play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction and foundation for all iOS development. You'll empower other engineers by building scalable libraries, APIs, and shared components, directly impacting developer efficiency and the core app experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert for complex iOS development challenges, guiding and supporting fellow engineers.
• Drive new features from concept to launch, overseeing prototyping, validation, implementation, and continuous iteration.
• Architect and build the foundational technical components for future iOS features and user experiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience developing user-facing iOS native applications at scale using Swift.
• Proven ability to lead large-scale projects involving cross-functional and cross-team collaboration.
• Strategic mindset with a passion for building scalable, well-designed software and long-term technical foundations.
• Self-directed, innovative, and proactive approach to problem-solving in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• Experience collaborating effectively with design, product, and data teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.
