About the Role

Join Deel as a Senior Legal Counsel, a pivotal role focused on employment and commercial legal matters across the UK and Ireland. You will be instrumental in ensuring compliance, mitigating legal risks, and providing essential legal support to our rapidly expanding global platform.

Responsibilities

• Advise senior management on complex employment and commercial legal issues.
• Develop and oversee robust compliance and risk management strategies.
• Mentor and guide junior legal professionals, fostering team growth.
• Represent the company in legal proceedings and engage with regulatory bodies.
• Draft, review, and negotiate high-value contracts, including vendor, NDA, customer, and partnership agreements.
• Cultivate strong relationships with external counsel, regulators, and key stakeholders.
• Take autonomous decisions and independently manage complex escalations and projects.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive legal experience, with a strong focus on corporate and employment law.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate and succeed in high-pressure legal negotiations.
• Proven leadership and mentorship capabilities.
• Fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration across all organizational levels.
