Senior Legal Counsel, Employment

About the Role

This role offers a seasoned legal professional the opportunity to provide expert employment law guidance, shaping policies and practices in a dynamic, remote-first environment.

Responsibilities

• Advise on a broad range of employment law matters, including hiring, termination, compensation, benefits, and HR policies.
• Manage and respond to employment-related disputes, litigation, and agency inquiries.
• Draft and review employment agreements, policies, and other related documents.
• Stay current with evolving employment laws and regulations, ensuring compliance across all operations.
• Collaborate with HR and other internal stakeholders on employment-related projects and initiatives.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in at least one US state.
• 7+ years of experience practicing employment law, preferably with a mix of in-house and law firm experience.
• Deep expertise in federal and state employment laws (e.g., Title VII, ADA, FMLA, FLSA).
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote setting.
