About the Role

Join our dynamic legal team as a Senior Legal Counsel, providing expert legal guidance and ensuring compliance across our operations in the UK and Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in a fast-growing global company.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive legal advice on a wide range of matters, including commercial contracts, data privacy (GDPR), employment law, and regulatory compliance in the UK and Ireland.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements with clients, partners, and vendors.
• Proactively identify and mitigate legal risks, developing strategies to ensure business operations adhere to local laws and regulations.
• Collaborate closely with internal business teams, including sales, HR, product, and finance, to support their initiatives and provide practical legal solutions.
• Manage and oversee external legal counsel as needed for specialized matters.

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor or barrister in England & Wales or Ireland with a current practicing certificate.
• Minimum of 5+ years Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) gained in a reputable law firm or in-house legal department, preferably within a technology or fintech company.
• Deep expertise in UK and Irish commercial law, data protection (GDPR), and employment law.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear, actionable advice.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with international legal frameworks or cross-border transactions.
• Familiarity with the HR tech, payroll, or global employment industry.
• Experience working remotely in a distributed team environment.
