Senior Machine Learning Engineer (Contractor)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join us on a long-term contract basis to develop and optimize advanced ML algorithms and large-scale data pipelines. This is an exciting opportunity to drive innovation in NLP and large language models (LLMs) within a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sophisticated machine learning algorithms to address complex business problems.
• Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines, including necessary transformations and preprocessing steps.
• Conduct in-depth data analysis to generate actionable insights and identify key trends.
• Create and optimize innovative algorithms for various applications, with a focus on NLP.
• Rigorously test hypotheses and validate models through structured experimentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Machine Learning Engineer.
• Strong expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP), specifically utilizing transformer models.
• Proven track record in developing and deploying machine learning models and algorithms.
• Deep learning proficiency using frameworks such as Tensorflow, Keras, or Pytorch.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming.
• Expertise in SQL for effective data manipulation and analysis.
• Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Prompt Engineering techniques.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience developing model APIs using Python frameworks like FastAPI or BentoML.
• Familiarity with search and recommender systems.
• Familiarity with AWS services.
