You will drive the design and implementation of state-of-the-art ML techniques to extract interpretable signals from Reddit's vast content, directly impacting our Ads Marketplace AI and monetization products.

The Ads Content Understanding team is central to Reddit's monetization strategy, focusing on building sophisticated systems that make sense of both organic and business content. Your leadership will be key in developing the infrastructure that powers our Ads Marketplace AI, Community Intelligence Engine, and Ads Insights, leveraging Reddit's unique, high-quality content to enhance ad targeting, ranking, and overall marketplace efficiency.

What You'll Do

• Lead and manage a team of Machine Learning engineers and data scientists focused on content understanding.
• Oversee the development and expansion of Reddit's Knowledge Graph, including NLP tokenization, Named Entity Recognition (NER) models, and entity disambiguation systems.
• Drive the creation of contextual signals from posts, landing pages, ad placements, and organic topics.
• Collaborate with Ads Targeting, Ranking, Quality, and Measurement teams to deliver best-in-class performance through interpretable signals.
• Design, build, and select state-of-the-art machine learning techniques for large-scale content understanding.

What You'll Bring

• Proven experience in Machine Learning and Data Science, particularly in content understanding or ads monetization.
• Strong background in Natural Language Processing (NLP), Knowledge Graph technologies, and information extraction.
• Experience leading and managing technical teams, fostering innovation and execution.
• Ability to design and implement scalable ML systems that impact core business metrics.
