Senior Manager, Field Engineering

About the Role

Lead and inspire a high-performing Field Engineering team across EMEA, driving technical excellence and accelerating customer acquisition for Grafana Labs. This pivotal remote role in Germany offers the chance to shape our go-to-market strategy and significantly impact our global growth.

Responsibilities

• Build, mentor, and manage a team of expert Field Engineers, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
• Serve as a solution subject matter expert (SME) for Grafana, guiding the team in accelerating and improving technical wins.
• Collaborate closely with sales leadership to oversee global Go-to-Market (GTM) execution, focusing on new customer acquisition.
• Develop and implement strategies and tools that streamline and accelerate the technical sales cycle.

Requirements

• Proven experience in building, leading, and managing Field Engineering or Solutions Architecture teams.
• Strong background in technical sales, pre-sales, or customer-facing engineering roles, ideally within the observability or open-source space.
• Demonstrated ability to drive Go-to-Market strategies and contribute to customer acquisition goals.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a passion for mentoring and developing talent.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote-first, global environment.
• Based remotely in Germany, serving the EMEA region.
