Senior Manager, Field Engineering

About the Role

Lead and grow a high-performing team of Field Engineers at Grafana Labs, driving technical wins and accelerating customer acquisition for our observability solutions across EMEA. This is a pivotal opportunity to shape our Go-To-Market strategy and impact our global growth.

Responsibilities

• Build, mentor, and manage a team of high-performing Field Engineers.
• Define and implement strategies to accelerate, scale, and improve the path to technical wins for customers.
• Collaborate closely with sales leadership on global Go-To-Market (GTM) execution, focusing on new customer acquisition.
• Develop and implement tools and processes to enhance sales efficiency and technical enablement.
• Act as a solution Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Grafana and the LGTM Stack.

Requirements

• Proven experience in managing and leading technical pre-sales or field engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of observability platforms, including metrics, logs, and traces (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Mimir, Tempo).
• Demonstrated success in Go-To-Market strategies and supporting sales cycles.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a distributed team.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment and manage teams across the EMEA region.

The Field Engineering team serves as crucial solution Subject Matter Experts for Grafana, directly contributing to accelerating and scaling our technical sales processes. You will partner with sales leaders to drive customer acquisition and ensure our customers achieve technical success with Grafana Labs' cutting-edge observability stack.
