Senior Manager, Field Engineering

About the Role

As a Senior Manager, Field Engineering, you will lead and grow a high-performing team of Field Engineers, playing a pivotal role in accelerating technical wins and driving customer acquisition across the EMEA region. This is an exciting opportunity to shape our Go-to-Market strategy and empower our sales efforts in a remote-first, open-source environment.

Responsibilities

• Build, mentor, and manage a team of high-performing Field Engineers.
• Develop and implement strategies to accelerate, scale, and improve the technical win path for customers.
• Collaborate closely with sales leadership to oversee global Go-to-Market (GTM) execution.
• Drive initiatives focused on acquiring new customers and expanding market reach.
• Contribute to building tools and processes that enhance sales acceleration and efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Field Engineering or Sales Engineering leadership roles.
• Demonstrated ability to build, manage, and scale technical teams.
• Strong understanding of the technical sales lifecycle and Go-to-Market strategies.
• Experience in driving customer acquisition and achieving technical sales objectives.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment, specifically within the EMEA region.

Nice-to-Haves

• Familiarity with observability platforms and open-source technologies, particularly Grafana, Mimir, Loki, or Tempo.
• Experience working with large enterprise customers in a technical sales capacity.
