About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Payroll, EMEA/APAC to lead our payroll operations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific regions. This is an exciting opportunity to drive strategic payroll initiatives, ensure compliance, and enhance efficiency for our rapidly growing global workforce, working remotely from Spain, Ireland, Italy, Poland, or Portugal.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the end-to-end payroll processes for all EMEA/APAC entities, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Ensure strict compliance with local statutory requirements, tax regulations, and company policies across diverse jurisdictions.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of payroll specialists.
- Collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and Legal departments to streamline processes and resolve complex payroll issues.
- Manage relationships with external payroll providers and ensure service level agreements are met.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for payroll systems, processes, and internal controls.
- Provide expert guidance on payroll-related matters, including new country expansions and policy changes.
Requirements
- 7+ years of progressive experience in managing multi-country payroll operations, specifically within EMEA and/or APAC regions.
- Deep expertise in international payroll legislation, tax compliance, and best practices.
- Proven experience leading and developing a payroll team in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and drive data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency with global payroll systems and HRIS platforms.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience working in a high-growth SaaS or technology company.
- Professional certification in payroll (e.g., CPP, FPC, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with specific payroll nuances in Spain, Ireland, Italy, Poland, or Portugal.
- Experience with payroll system implementations or migrations.
