Senior Observability Architect

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for a portfolio of Grafana customers, owning their long-term success.
• Design and guide customers through their observability maturity journey, providing expert-level troubleshooting and adoption guidance.
• Architect and oversee the implementation of complex observability solutions across diverse infrastructure and application environments.
• Conduct regular technical reviews, health checks, and root cause analyses to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
• Advise clients on best practices, optimize their use of solutions, and drive adoption of new products and features.
• Develop and maintain strong, strategic relationships with key stakeholders, acting as the voice of the customer internally.
• Collaborate with account teams to develop technical roadmaps, present ROI, and identify areas for improvement.
• Deliver training sessions, workshops, and technical documentation to educate clients on Grafana Labs' technology.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Math, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a technical support, technical account management, consulting, or professional services role within the technology industry.
• Strong understanding and proven experience with observability solutions, including deploying and operating Kubernetes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and architectural design skills.
• Outstanding written and oral communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate value propositions.
• Ability to travel up to 25% as needed to meet with clients.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki.
• 5+ years of technical sales, TAM, or post-sales technical experience, especially with open-source technologies or in the observability space.
• Proven ability to connect product usage to business value (ROI) and manage customer lifecycles effectively.
• Creativity in solving customer adoption challenges and proactively assisting with technical issues.
• A strong technical mindset with a desire for continuous growth.

Role Impact

As an Observability Architect, you will be a critical technical owner, deeply embedding Grafana's technology into mission-critical systems. You will represent the technical voice of our customers, directly influencing product feedback and roadmap priorities by collaborating closely with Engineering and Product Management, shaping the future of observability at scale.
