About the Role
As a Senior Partner Development Manager, you will play a foundational and high-impact role in building Paddle's strategic partnerships function from the ground up. This high-visibility, high-autonomy individual contributor position is crucial for expanding our reach and strengthening our offering through key alliances that drive significant growth.
Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and lead strategic partnership opportunities across Paddle’s ecosystem, including technology, referral, and strategic alliances.
- Own the end-to-end partnership lifecycle, from initial outreach and development to Go-to-Market (GTM) alignment and performance tracking.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Legal to build scalable partnership models and deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Shape Paddle’s partner strategy by identifying market trends, white space opportunities, and competitive insights.
- Represent Paddle externally with credibility and strategic clarity in partner conversations, events, and co-marketing opportunities.
- Drive adoption and growth of key partnerships, ensuring alignment with Paddle’s commercial and product goals.
- Act as a trusted advisor to internal teams, sharing partner insights and influencing roadmaps and GTM priorities.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, or strategic alliances, ideally within B2B SaaS, fintech, or platform-based businesses.
- Proven track record of closing and scaling high-value, multi-stakeholder partnerships with measurable impact.
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to model partnership economics, negotiate value exchange, and align with business goals.
- Experience navigating complex ecosystems such as payment infrastructure, SaaS tooling, developer platforms, or marketplace integrations.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, both internally and externally.
- The ability to operate with high autonomy and accountability, often in ambiguity, while collaborating effectively with diverse teams.
- A strategic mindset combined with a bias for execution; capable of seeing the big picture and delivering results quickly.
