Senior Payroll Associate, Australia & APAC Payroll

About the Role

Join Deel, the fastest-growing SaaS company, as a Senior Payroll Associate. You will be instrumental in managing end-to-end payroll operations for Australia, India, and the Philippines, ensuring accuracy and compliance for our global workforce.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute full-cycle payroll processing for employees in Australia, India, and the Philippines.
• Ensure strict adherence to local payroll regulations, tax laws, and statutory requirements in all assigned regions.
• Reconcile payroll data, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions efficiently.
• Process new hires, terminations, leaves, and compensation changes accurately and on time.
• Collaborate closely with HR, finance, and legal teams to ensure seamless payroll operations and data integrity.
• Prepare and submit various payroll reports, including tax filings and social security contributions.
• Act as a subject matter expert for payroll-related inquiries and provide guidance to employees and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proven experience (5+ years preferred) as a Senior Payroll Associate with hands-on experience in Australian, Indian, and/or Philippine payroll processing.
• In-depth knowledge of payroll software, systems, and best practices.
• Strong understanding of local payroll legislation, tax compliance, and reporting requirements for the APAC region.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with global payroll platforms or HRIS systems.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional).
• Prior experience in a high-growth SaaS or tech company.
