About the Role

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end UK payroll processing for a diverse employee base.
• Ensure strict compliance with UK payroll legislation, tax regulations (HMRC), and statutory requirements.
• Process new hires, terminations, changes, and statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP) accurately and on time.
• Reconcile payroll data, prepare payroll reports, and assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Liaise effectively with internal teams (HR, Finance) and external bodies (HMRC) as needed.
• Address and resolve payroll-related queries from employees with professionalism and efficiency.
• Contribute to continuous process improvements and system enhancements within the payroll function.

Requirements

• Proven experience (3+ years) as a Payroll Associate or Specialist, with significant focus on UK payroll.
• In-depth knowledge of UK payroll legislation, tax codes, National Insurance, and statutory payments.
• Hands-on experience with payroll software and systems.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in all tasks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex payroll scenarios.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a remote, international team.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

• Experience with global payroll platforms or HRIS systems.
• Prior experience working in a fast-growing technology company.
• Relevant payroll certifications (e.g., CIPP).
• Experience managing international payroll from an India-based team.
