Senior Payroll Associate, Malaysian Payroll

About the Role

Join our dynamic team as a Senior Payroll Associate specializing in Malaysian Payroll, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll operations for our global clients. Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for Malaysian entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure strict compliance with Malaysian payroll regulations, tax laws (LHDN), EPF, SOCSO, and HRDF contributions.
• Process new hires, terminations, salary changes, bonuses, and other payroll adjustments accurately.
• Reconcile payroll data and prepare comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Address and resolve payroll-related queries from employees and clients efficiently and professionally.
• Collaborate closely with HR and finance teams to identify and implement process improvements.
• Stay continuously updated on changes in Malaysian payroll legislation and best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4-6 years of hands-on experience in Malaysian payroll processing.
• In-depth knowledge of Malaysian labor laws, income tax regulations (LHDN), EPF, SOCSO, and HRDF contributions.
• Proficiency with payroll software and HRIS systems.
• Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with diverse stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote work setting.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia is a significant advantage.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with global payroll platforms or Professional Employer Organization (PEO) services.
• Professional certification in payroll (e.g., from the Institute of Professional Payroll Managers - IPPM).
• Prior experience working in a fast-growing SaaS or technology company.

Work Arrangement
