Join our Postgres Team as a Senior Postgres Security Engineer to maintain and expand the security, permissions, and role system of our hosted Postgres offering. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in fast-paced, async environments and is passionate about building scalable developer tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and expand the security, permissions, and role system of our hosted Postgres offering.
• Develop PostgreSQL extensions in C and Rust.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues in managed PostgreSQL environments, including custom extensions, performance, and resource contention.
• Design, build, test, and own idempotent deployments to thousands of Postgres instances.
• Dive into PostgreSQL source code to understand query planner, executor, and storage engine mechanics.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Postgres security, encryption, Row Level Security (RLS), and permissions.
• Deep expertise in PostgreSQL internals.
• Proven experience developing PostgreSQL extensions in C and Rust.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL's permission model, security features, roles, and grant systems.
• Experience with multi-tenant database architectures and working with PostgreSQL at scale.
• Ability to communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences.
