Senior Product Designer, Growth & AI

About the Role

Help shape the future of growth at Zapier, powered by AI and driven by design. As a Senior Product Designer on our Growth team, you will tackle critical challenges in user onboarding, activation, and value realization, making a high impact on our mission to make automation work for everyone.

Responsibilities

• Lead design for how new users get started with Zapier, crafting experiences that help customers discover possibilities through intelligent systems, example use cases, and onboarding flows.
• Own the full design experience for Templates, a high-priority growth area, including post-click flows, sharing UI, and account management. If you are a high-velocity designer, this also includes the distribution side such as template cards, landing pages, and social sharing assets.
• Design automation kits tailored to specific roles (e.g., HR, Finance, Sales), creating shareable AI-powered templates and designing ways to highlight them across various surfaces, including SEO-optimized landing pages.
• Collaborate deeply with cross-functional partners including Product Managers, engineers, researchers, data scientists, and marketers to define strategy and execute high-leverage opportunities.
• Balance exploration with execution, experimenting quickly, testing ideas, and iterating while maintaining a high bar for usability, quality, and craft.
• Bring ownership and curiosity to ambiguous problems, helping to define the roadmap, shape customer experiences, and unlock growth in new areas.
• Contribute to design culture and systems, influencing design standards across the Growth Zone and broader organization, and helping to evolve Zapier’s design system.

Requirements

• 6+ years of product design experience, with a strong focus on Growth initiatives such as onboarding, activation, engagement, or retention in SaaS or enterprise environments.
• A portfolio demonstrating strong UX thinking, refined UI, and a clear link between your work and measurable business/user outcomes.
• Ability to think in systems, not just screens, understanding how touchpoints connect across the entire customer journey.
• Proven ability to generate bold ideas, articulate a vision, and rally cross-functional teams around them.
• Self-directed and action-oriented, eager to explore, ship, and driven by curiosity and impact without waiting for perfect clarity.
• Skilled in using data, research, and instinct to inform decisions, blending quantitative and qualitative inputs effectively.
• Capable of moving fast without compromising quality, accounting for edge cases, accessibility, and interaction details early in the process.
• Committed to elevating the team and fostering collaboration, improving processes, and building an inclusive, high-performing design culture.
• A continuous learner who welcomes feedback, reflects openly, and actively seeks opportunities for growth.
