Senior Product Manager (Containers)

About the Role

Chainguard is at the forefront of vulnerability-free Container Images, simplifying developer workflows and ensuring a secure open-source foundation. We are seeking a highly technical Senior Product Manager to define and build the future of our Containers product, working closely with developers and security stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Drive the strategy and roadmap, shipping great products that streamline how developers adopt and build with Chainguard Container Images.
• Lead projects from ideation through launch, iteratively unlocking new customers and improving the product while overseeing maintenance and support.
• Gather and respond to quantitative and qualitative data and feedback, measuring effectiveness and adapting direction as needed.
• Collaborate effectively with Engineering, Product Marketing, UX, and other cross-functional teams.
• Represent the company externally in meetings with customers, prospects, partners, and industry analysts.

Requirements

• Demonstrated technical depth, quickly establishing credibility with developers and speaking their language.
• Prior experience as a developer or proven success working in systems, networks, or an adjacent highly technical area.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of engaging deeply with customers and owning outcomes.
• Ability to thrive in a demanding, fast-paced environment with hands-on execution and delivery.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with Linux software packaging and/or container image building.
• Familiarity with compliance and regulatory frameworks and standards such as FedRAMP, STIGs, or FIPS.
