Senior Security Engineer

About the Role

Join our team as a Senior Security Engineer to fortify our digital defenses and ensure the integrity and confidentiality of our systems and data. This full-time, remote-friendly role, based out of Paris, offers a unique opportunity to shape our security posture and protect our users.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain robust security architectures and solutions across our infrastructure.
• Perform comprehensive security assessments, including vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and code reviews.
• Lead incident response efforts, from detection and analysis to containment and recovery.
• Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to integrate security seamlessly into the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Stay abreast of the latest security threats, technologies, and regulatory requirements to proactively enhance our defenses.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in a dedicated security engineering role.
• Strong expertise in cloud security (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure security principles.
• Proficiency in network security, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and secure network design.
• Hands-on experience with security tools for vulnerability management, SIEM, and EDR.
• Solid understanding of secure coding practices and application security best practices.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Go) for automation and security tooling.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Nice-to-Haves

• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, OSCP).
• Experience with compliance frameworks such as GDPR, ISO 27001, or SOC 2.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
• Previous experience in a FinTech or other high-security regulated environment.
