Senior Software Engineer, Back-end

Join our Repayment Scheduling team to build and own the critical systems that automate payments for over 20 million users, processing up to $40B annually. Responsibilities

• Own and deliver quarterly goals while leading engineers through complex, open-ended technical challenges.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics to define technical constraints and drive product decisions.
• Foster a culture of quality by setting high standards for code reviews, system design, and technical documentation.
• Support system availability through proactive monitoring, metrics analysis, and participation in an on-call rotation.
• Mentor team members by providing constructive feedback and leading by example.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using Python or Kotlin.
• Proven track record of building highly available distributed systems using AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
• Ability to define technical plans for significant features with an emphasis on elegant, simple, and extensible design.
• Proficient at navigating and refactoring large codebases safely.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
