Responsibilities

• Own and deliver quarterly technical goals, leading the team through complex, ambiguous problems.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics teams to translate business needs into elegant, extensible technical solutions.
• Foster a culture of high-quality engineering by setting standards for code reviews, system design, and operational excellence.
• Support system availability and performance through proactive monitoring, incident management, and participation in on-call rotations.
• Mentor team members and contribute to high-signal hiring to help grow our engineering talent.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using Python or Kotlin.
• Proven track record of building highly available distributed systems in cloud environments.
• Proficiency with AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across a global team.
• Demonstrated ability to make significant changes in large codebases safely and efficiently.

We are a collaborative team of six engineers based across Spain and Poland, dedicated to solving complex identity decisioning and regulatory compliance challenges.
