Responsibilities

• Own and deliver quarterly goals for your team, guiding engineers through complex, open-ended problems.
• Support peers and stakeholders by collaborating with product management, design, and analytics throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Participate in ideation, articulate technical constraints, and partner on decisions considering risks and trade-offs.
• Proactively identify project, process, and technology improvements.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Backend Software Engineer, ideally within a growth or platform team.
• Strong understanding of designing, building, and maintaining scalable APIs and event-driven services.
• Experience with distributed systems and data-driven development.
• Ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor junior engineers.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.

We design APIs, event-driven services, and experimentation frameworks in close partnership with Product, Data Science, and Experience teams, reaching millions of customers and thousands of merchants.
