Responsibilities

• Own and deliver quarterly goals, leading engineers through ambiguity to solve open-ended problems.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics on ideation, technical constraints, and strategic decisions.
• Proactively identify and lead solutions for project, process, technology, or business issues.
• Support the operations and availability of team artifacts by monitoring metrics, escalating, and participating in on-call efforts.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Backend Software Engineer, ideally within a high-growth environment.
• Strong understanding of designing and building scalable, reliable distributed systems.
• Ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor other engineers.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach to development.
• Experience working cross-functionally with product and engineering teams.
• This is a remote position open to candidates located in Canada.
