About the Role

Join the Affirm Card Engineering team as a Senior Software Engineer to build and enhance critical systems for money movement, bank data integration, and merchant data. This role is pivotal in enabling Affirm's newest financial product, the Affirm Card, and contributing to our mission of providing honest and friendly financial services to millions of customers.

Responsibilities

• Drive project planning and prioritization aligned with product, technical, and business goals.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Experience, Accounting, Product, and Analytics teams to define and execute money movement strategies for the Debit card.
• Design and build robust APIs and data models within micro-service and event-driven architectures.
• Actively mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer with a strong focus on backend development.
• Expertise in designing, building, and maintaining scalable, correct, and extensible systems.
• Hands-on experience with micro-service and event-driven architectures.
• Proficiency in API development and data modeling.
• Exceptional cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.
• A creative and problem-solving mindset.
