Senior Software Engineer - Conversation Team

About the Role

Join Aircall's growing Engineering department to design, develop, and deploy business-critical features for our AI-powered customer communications platform. This is an exciting opportunity to drive operational excellence and mentor others while working on high-volume, resilient services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality, secure, and scalable backend solutions using TypeScript and Node.js.
• Take key ownership across the entire delivery lifecycle, including requirements analysis, solution design, architecture, and end-to-end implementation of critical modules.
• Focus on product and platform performance optimization, live site monitoring, and participating in the on-call rotation to ensure system reliability.
• Evangelize and mentor junior team members on operational excellence, best practices, metrics, and observability across the Engineering organization.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in back-end development, specifically utilizing TypeScript and NodeJS, with a strong focus on security, scalability, availability, and performance.
• Extensive production experience with AWS, including designing for and deploying high-volume/high-availability services.
• Rigorous adherence to code quality and engineering best practices (e.g., Clean Code, Clean Architecture, TDD/BDD, CI/CD).
• Proven ability to communicate effectively and collaborate proactively with diverse technical and non-technical profiles.

Nice-to-Haves

• Proven experience applying Domain Driven Design (DDD) principles in past projects.
