Senior Software Engineer

About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a technical leader, driving the design and development of major features and systems for our cloud-based SaaS platform. This role offers a significant opportunity to architect complex solutions, mentor other engineers, and influence the direction of our technology and the growth of our engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Drive the design and development of major features and systems for our cloud-based SaaS platform.
• Architect complex software solutions and ensure their successful implementation.
• Mentor and coach other engineers (Software Engineer, Junior Engineer, QA) in Vietnam, fostering their growth and effective delivery.
• Collaborate with product leadership to shape the technical roadmap and strategic direction.
• Contribute directly to development efforts within a collaborative, cross-functional Scrum team.
• Work closely with international stakeholders and the engineering team in Leicester to drive global projects and engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Strong track record of delivering high-quality, production-ready software across the full software development lifecycle.
• Expertise in both backend and frontend development.
• Strong experience with PHP and the Laravel framework.
• Familiarity with modern frontend technologies such as React, VueJS, or AngularJS.
• Commitment to engineering excellence and continuous improvement.
• Proven ability to provide guidance and mentorship to other engineers.
• Willingness to lead by example, share knowledge, and contribute to a culture of learning and quality.

About the Team

You will work remotely from Vietnam as part of a collaborative and cross-functional Scrum team. This role involves supporting and coaching local engineers while also collaborating closely with our engineering team in Leicester and international stakeholders, contributing to global projects and driving engineering best practices across teams. You will report to the Software Engineering Team Lead in Leicester within a high-performing agile environment committed to continuous delivery and technical excellence.
