Senior Software Engineer

About the Role

Wrike is seeking a talented Backend Developer to join our cross-functional mobile team, where you will build and enhance Kotlin-based services that power a seamless collaborative experience for our global enterprise customers. This role offers the unique opportunity to bridge the gap between core platform logic and mobile application performance in a modern, evolving technical environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance Kotlin-based backend services that power Wrike’s mobile application.
• Contribute to core platform logic, including API development, business logic, and performance optimizations tailored for mobile use cases.
• Collaborate closely with iOS, Android, QA, and product teams to deliver high-quality, scalable features.
• Participate in code reviews and peer discussions to maintain high engineering standards and consistency.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of software development experience using Java, Spring, MyBatis, PostgreSQL, and Maven.
• Strong understanding of backend architecture, SOLID principles, and REST API design.
• Proven ability to keep solutions simple, scalable, and maintainable.
• Strong communication skills in English and a commitment to continuous learning.

Nice-to-Haves

• At least 1 year of production experience with Kotlin.
• Experience working closely with mobile engineering teams or in distributed global environments.
• Background in SaaS products or enterprise software development.
• Proactive approach to technical decision-making and identifying opportunities for system improvement.
