Senior Software Engineer, Frontend

About the Role

Join Affirm's Checkout Experience team to build and maintain delightful UI and API experiences that are central to our mission of reinventing credit. In this remote role based in Poland, you'll collaborate with international teams to drive feature development and ensure users have flexible, transparent payment options.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver quarterly goals, guiding engineers through complex problems to successful delivery.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Articulate technical constraints and partner on decisions, carefully considering risks and trade-offs.
• Proactively identify and lead the resolution of project, process, technology, or business issues.
• Support the operational availability of team artifacts through monitoring, escalation, and on-call efforts.
• Foster a culture of quality by setting and improving code review and design standards, advocating for them across teams.
• Contribute to the development and mentorship of talent within the team.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Frontend Software Engineer, with a strong understanding of UI and API development.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects, own deliverables, and guide other engineers.
• Experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, Analytics).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve complex technical and process issues.
• Familiarity with operational support, monitoring, and maintaining high-availability systems.
• Commitment to fostering quality through robust code review and design practices.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating technical constraints and trade-offs.
