Senior Software Engineer

Join our team to reinvent credit, making it more honest and friendly for consumers. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design and develop impactful software for our consumer-facing mobile and web applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software for consumer-facing mobile and web applications.
• Create foundational tools and libraries supporting core applications.
• Maintain, improve, test, build, and release pipelines.
• Provide guidance on core application architectural decisions and drive implementation.
• Collaborate with engineers on project definition, technical specification, delivery, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Generate robust, maintainable, and scalable designs for new functionalities.
• Write high-quality, understandable code that supports rapid business growth.
• Mentor less-experienced team members through code reviews and best practices.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Software Engineering, Information Management, or a related field, along with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience building software using modern programming languages such as Kotlin, Python, or equivalent.
• Proven ability to design robust, maintainable, and scalable full-stack software solutions.
• Expertise in software engineering best practices, including Source Control, Agile Methodology, and Code Reviews.
• Skilled in debugging code issues using logging, monitoring systems, and stack trace analysis.
• Experience writing technical specifications, discussing tradeoffs, and breaking down complex concepts.
• Proficient in developing backend features, including APIs, data schemas, data stores, and algorithms.
• Commitment to ensuring code quality and system health through automated/manual testing and on-call rotations.
• Participation in recruiting efforts, including conducting interviews and creating technical content.
