Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical resource for the sales team, guiding prospects through technical aspects of API products.
• Lead technical scoping and discovery to understand client architecture, integration needs, and business objectives.
• Design, develop, and deliver compelling technical presentations, product demonstrations, and client trials.
• Develop detailed, tailored API solution proposals and integration plans.
• Provide expert technical support throughout the sales cycle, including RFP responses and security assessments.
• Support client onboarding, integration, and API adoption, conducting solution reviews for upsell and renewal opportunities.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for CoinGecko’s API suite, WebSocket, and data delivery platform.
• Troubleshoot and resolve client technical issues with internal engineering support.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility and influence product roadmap.
• Stay informed on market trends and competitor technical capabilities within the crypto/blockchain landscape.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Technical Pre-Sales, or Consulting for Enterprise SaaS products.
• Strong technical sales expertise and ability to engage in deep technical discussions with CTOs, Product Managers, and engineers.
• Strong understanding of API products, common customer use cases, and CoinGecko's API product and the crypto/blockchain landscape.
• Deep understanding of API design and integration patterns, including RESTful and WebSocket-based architectures.
• Strong knowledge of data delivery protocols (HTTP/HTTPS, WebSockets, SFTP, Webhooks) and data serialization formats (JSON, CSV, XML, Parquet).
• Familiarity with Python, JavaScript, or Postman for API testing.
• Knowledge of SQL, data visualization tools (e.g., Redash, Tableau, PowerBI), and cloud solutions (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Strong market research and competitor analysis skills.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and engagement skills with executive and technical teams.
• Strong project management skills for managing multiple initiatives with high attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, with an entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for continuous technical learning.
