Senior Solutions Engineer

About the Role

Join us as a Senior Solutions Engineer, a pivotal role where you'll become an expert in our offerings and a subject matter expert in critical industry technologies. You will be a key technical advisor to enterprise customers across Canada and the United States, guiding them in how they Build, Ship, and Run their applications, working remotely.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain expert knowledge of Docker's offerings and the broader container ecosystem.
• Drive the technical evaluation stage of the sales process, ensuring customer success as containers revolutionize modern enterprises.
• Advise customers on integrating Docker into their environments and getting started with containerization.
• Help customers transform development pipelines, automate infrastructure, and accelerate time to market.
• Serve as an industry expert on technology, processes, and best practices for software development and operating containers at enterprise scale.
• Articulate Docker’s technical and product positioning to diverse business and technical stakeholders, building strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.
• Act as a key technical advisor to the sales team and a vital product advocate, collaborating closely with product management and engineering.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Solutions Engineering, Pre-Sales Engineering, or similar technical advisory role.
• Deep expertise in containerization technologies, particularly Docker, and related ecosystem tools.
• Strong understanding of enterprise software development lifecycles, DevOps practices, and infrastructure automation.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to understand customer environments, identify pain points, and propose effective technical solutions.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with sales, product, and engineering teams.
