Senior/Staff Site Reliability Engineer

About the Role

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will design, automate, and scale secure-by-default cloud infrastructure, ensuring high uptime and uneventful on-call experiences. Join our team to develop and maintain robust cloud-based infrastructure, focusing on reliability and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Continuously improve how services are deployed, configured, monitored, and maintained on our platform
• Lead incident response, diagnosis, and follow-up on system outages and alerts
• Act as a thought leader for operational focus across engineering teams
• Maintain and optimize infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
• Analyze system metrics to identify and implement reliability and efficiency improvements

Requirements

• Proficiency in a Linux ecosystem
• Experience supporting high-availability distributed production systems
• Experience with database administration and support
• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or SaltStack
• Familiarity with at least one public cloud platform (GCP, AWS, Azure)
• Software development skills in Python, Go, Javascript, and/or Ruby
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Strong English language skills and the ability to work independently within a globally distributed team
• Eagerness to learn about the supply chain security space

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience scaling services in a performant and cost-effective manner
• Implemented incident management and disaster recovery playbooks
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker/OCI, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with multiple public cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure)
• Experience operating a multi-tenant capable software-defined network (SDN)
• Strong Linux systems troubleshooting and debugging skills
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, API design, and software design patterns
• Interest in open-source software projects and communities
