About the Role
Join GitLab's high-performing Stock Administration team as a Senior Stock Administrator, where you will play a crucial role in managing equity programs and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure operational excellence and support our global team members.
Responsibilities
- Administer global equity plans, including stock options, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Employee Stock Purchase Plans (ESPP).
- Process equity transactions such as grants, exercises, releases, and cancellations accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconcile equity data between internal systems, transfer agents, and third-party vendors.
- Collaborate closely with Legal, HR, Payroll, and Finance teams on all equity-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including tax, securities, and corporate governance requirements.
- Assist with financial reporting and disclosures related to equity compensation.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding equity awards and company policies.
- Support internal and external audits related to stock administration.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in stock administration, preferably in a public company setting.
- In-depth knowledge of various equity compensation plans (e.g., ISOs, NSOs, RSUs, ESPP).
- Proficiency with equity management software (e.g., Shareworks, E*TRADE, Fidelity).
- Strong understanding of US and international tax implications for equity awards.
- Excellent analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
