Join Zapier as a Site Reliability Engineer on the Data Platforms team to enhance the reliability, observability, and operational maturity of our modern data stack. This role offers a key opportunity to keep our data ecosystem healthy, scalable, and developer-friendly, working with cutting-edge automation and AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Level up reliability for our modern data stack, including Databricks, Airflow, and LLMOps tooling, by applying best practices and establishing clear operational standards.
• Partner with engineering teams to improve observability and alerting by implementing rich metrics, structured logs, and smart alerting.
• Contribute to incident response processes and foster learning from failures.
• Write code (Python, TypeScript, or Bash) to automate tasks and reduce toil.
• Experiment with AI tools to increase efficiency and impact.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering roles.
• Experience working in production environments, solving incidents, and implementing platform improvements.
• Familiarity with cloud-native architecture and services (AWS preferred).
• Experience using tools like Terraform for infrastructure management.
• Strong understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting principles.
• Experience contributing to incident response processes.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (Python, TypeScript, or Bash).
• Belief in Infrastructure as Code and automation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable collaborating asynchronously in a remote environment.
• Experience using or willingness to quickly learn AI tooling for work.
