Site Reliability Engineer - Data Platform

About the Role

Join our Data Infrastructure team as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to ensure the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our robust data platform, supporting diverse applications and teams. This pivotal role offers the chance to build and oversee foundational data infrastructure in a dynamic crypto environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data governance mechanisms for the lakehouse, ensuring security, compliance, and ease of interaction.
• Implement data infrastructure for ingestion, storage, cataloging, and lineage tracking.
• Provide and manage a suite of Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
• Ensure high availability, performance, scalability, and cost efficiency of the data platform.
• Implement self-service data infrastructure solutions supporting multiple business units and users.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC), specifically Terraform, for managing cloud (AWS) and on-premises infrastructure.
• Develop automation scripts using bash/shell for operational tasks and deployments.
• Enhance and maintain CI/CD pipelines for consistent software deployments.
• Implement robust data monitoring and alerting systems.
• Manage Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and permissions across different environments.

Requirements

• Experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, preferably focused on Data Infrastructure.
• Proficiency in cloud technologies (specifically AWS mentioned).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly Terraform.
• Skill in automation scripting (e.g., bash/shell).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of data monitoring and alerting solutions.
• Familiarity with user/machine authentication/authorization (AuthNZ) and certificate management.
• Experience managing permissions and RBAC.
