Site Reliability Engineer - Data Platform

About the Role

Join our Data Infrastructure team to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our critical data platforms, directly contributing to the future of crypto. This is an exciting opportunity to build robust systems that power our global operations in a fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable data infrastructure.
• Develop and optimize monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions for data pipelines and services.
• Automate operational tasks and improve system efficiency through tooling and scripting.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues across the data platform stack.
• Collaborate with data engineers and other SREs to define and enforce best practices for reliability and operational excellence.
• Participate in on-call rotations to support critical data systems.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or in a similar DevOps/Infrastructure role, specifically with data platforms.
• Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Java).
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Deep understanding of data storage technologies (e.g., Kafka, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, S3).
• Expertise in monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and data processing concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to system reliability.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with large-scale data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Flink).
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Knowledge of blockchain technology or cryptocurrency ecosystems.
• Experience working in a fully remote, globally distributed team.
