About the Role

Join our Cloud team as a Site Reliability Engineer to significantly enhance Zapier's reliability and scalability, providing a frictionless platform for engineers to build and operate software. This role is crucial for tackling our toughest cloud challenges and ensuring a robust foundation for millions of businesses globally.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Develop and improve automation for deployment, monitoring, and operational tasks.
• Proactively identify and resolve complex system issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed reliability best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Contribute to cloud governance, cost optimization, and security initiatives.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or in a similar DevOps/Cloud Engineering role.
• Strong expertise with AWS services and cloud infrastructure management.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Ruby) for automation.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, networking, and security principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to reliability challenges.

About the Team

You will be a key member of our Cloud team, which is responsible for AWS governance, cloud spending, and enhancing the overall cloud user experience for engineers. This is a full-time, remote position based in EMEA.
