Site Reliability Engineer

About the Role

Join our engineering team as a Site Reliability Engineer, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of our critical systems. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in a remote-first environment, contributing directly to the reliability of our platform. This is a full-time, remote position within the NAMER region. The compensation for this role ranges from $141K – $211.7K USD/CAD, including equity and bonus opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure and services.
• Develop and improve monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure high availability and performance.
• Automate operational tasks and improve deployment, release, and incident response processes.
• Collaborate with development teams to build resilient architectures and troubleshoot production issues.
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide timely support for critical systems.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages like Python, Go, or Bash.
• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes).
• Solid knowledge of monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose complex technical issues.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and best practices.
• Knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL).
• Contributions to open-source projects or a strong technical blog.
