Software Engineer, Backend

About the Role

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, robust backend features and APIs using modern frameworks.
• Ensure high performance and reliability across distributed systems, including inference, billing, and AI tooling.
• Contribute to system architecture design for efficient, secure, and scalable solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, participating in code reviews and upholding technical standards.
• Collaborate with product managers, platform engineers, and AI/ML teams to deliver scalable model-as-a-service solutions.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in Python or another backend language (e.g., Golang, Kotlin, C#).
• Strong understanding of backend fundamentals: APIs, databases, caching, messaging systems, and distributed architectures.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ownership mindset capable of shipping end-to-end features with minimal oversight.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with a team-oriented, low-ego mindset.

Nice-to-Haves

• Full-stack exposure.
• Experience working with an API and developer ecosystem.
• Experience deploying software to diverse environments (cloud, on-premises).
• Familiarity with infrastructure management tools (Docker, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Terraform).
• Exposure to AI/ML engineering concepts.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
• A UX and product-centric mindset.
