About the Role

Join our engineering team as a Backend-focused Software Engineer, playing a pivotal role in shaping our core platform. You will design, build, and maintain robust APIs, services, and systems, contributing significantly to large-scale feature development and technical roadmaps within a company at the forefront of fraud prevention.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and maintain robust, efficient, and reliable backend services to meet platform needs.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to architect and implement new services from inception to delivery.
• Contribute to developing new features and capabilities that deliver substantial value to customers.
• Work with various engineering and product teams to synchronize efforts and deliver cutting-edge solutions.
• Craft and maintain user-facing technical documentation, enhancing user understanding and facilitating seamless adoption.
• Play a pivotal role in shaping our company's engineering culture and maintaining high engineering standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of proven experience as a Software Engineer specializing in web backend development.
• A track record of successfully delivering high-quality production services and systems.
• Customer-centric approach with a strong emphasis on empathy towards users.
• Relevant industry experience in banking or fintech, and domain knowledge in fraud prevention or compliance.
• Proficient in English, from casual conversations to formal reports.

Nice-to-Haves

• Proficiency in Golang.
• Additional experience in data engineering.
• Familiarity with technologies such as TypeScript, Ruby, Bigtable, Postgres, GCP Dataflow (Apache Beam), BigQuery, Python, Java, or Terraform.
