Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure & Acquisition

About the Role

Join Speechify's AI team to build and scale the data infrastructure essential for training our cutting-edge text-to-speech models, impacting millions of users worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new audio data sources for our ingestion pipeline.
• Operate and enhance cloud infrastructure (GCP, Terraform) for data ingestion.
• Collaborate with scientists to optimize data cost, throughput, and quality for model training.
• Contribute to the AI team's dataset roadmap for Speechify's consumer and enterprise products.

Requirements

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of industry experience in software development.
• Proficiency with bash/Python scripting in Linux environments.
• Proficiency in Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts, with experience in a major Cloud Provider (GCP preferred).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with web crawlers and large-scale data processing workflows.
